Responsibilities

As a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (CNA-I) at Lorien Taneytown, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, resident-centered care that promotes comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life. Working under the direction of the Director of Nursing and licensed nursing staff, you will deliver hands-on support to residents while helping create a safe, caring, and positive environment.

In this role, you will:
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Provide compassionate personal care while preserving resident dignity and independence.
  • Support resident safety, comfort, and overall well-being.
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team.
  • Assist with transfers, ambulation, positioning, and range-of-motion activities.
  • Help residents during meals and encourage appropriate nutrition and hydration.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Foster meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members.
  • Follow all infection prevention, safety, and resident care protocols.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on delivering exceptional care.

 

Qualifications

  • Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN Hours Available 
  • Schedule: Days, Evenings, Nights 
  • License: Active Maryland GNA license
  • Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accomodation.
